Description

The picture is nothing exceptional, indeed I had to discard 20 out of 80 frames because the object was too low and there was too much light gradient from the city.

HOWEVER there is something to think about: the Medusa Nebula, or Abell 21, was discovered in 1955 by astronomer George O.Abell on photographic plates taken at the Palomar Observatory with the Samuel Oschin telescope, a 48-inch (1.22 meter) Schmidt Camera ... and now it is possible to image it from a city environment, by taking short exposures with a cheap 135 mm camera lens and an uncooled monochrome CMOS camera ... what an immense progress made in 65 years.
